ALEC seeks nominations for Nutrien Ag Solutions' Young Achiever of the Year

Together with sponsor Nutrien Ag Solutions, the Australian Livestock Exporters’ Council is now seeking nominations for the Livestock Exporter Young Achiever of the Year award.

Employing over 10,000 people, especially in remote and regional areas, the livestock export industry is a vital contributor to the Australian export economy.

The Young Achiever of the Year award is open to those aged 35 and under who are actively engaged in the livestock export industry. It recognises the achievements of a young leader in the industry who has shown commitment and enthusiasm in their role.

The recipient of the award will be given the opportunity to participate in the Australian Rural Leadership Foundation’s TRAIL Emerging Leaders program, with all flight and travel expenses covered.

ALEC CEO, Mark Harvey-Sutton emphasised the importance of acknowledging those outstanding young professionals in the industry who have made a great contribution.

“The livestock sector provides a rewarding career path, with the opportunity to travel the world and experience different cultures. This award recognises those who have gone above and beyond and who will make a positive impact on the industry as their careers progress.”

Colby Ede, Nutrien Ag Solutions, East Region Northern Livestock Manager, said the award helps develop future leaders for the entire livestock industry.

“This award showcases young professionals across the supply chain. Nutrien Ag Solutions is proud to support this award once again and show our support for the livestock export industry,” he said.

The winner will be announced at the industry’s gala dinner in Canberra in November 2024.
