The development of Livestock Global Assurance Program (LGAP) has been initiated by the Australian livestock export industry – to help protect the welfare of exported animals and demonstrate its professionalism and dedication to continual improvement. LGAP is a global assurance and conformity assessment program aimed at fostering world’s best practice in the welfare and management of animals, applicable to any international market. LGAP aims to do more for improving animal welfare in foreign markets, in that it is not being limited in scope to just Australian livestock.
